Overview of our UNIX courses

StayAhead Training offer a range of coursess covering generic UNIX and system specific administration courses. All StayAhead UNIX coursess can be modified or tailored for delivery on your premises. Scheduled and Closed courses can also be attended using our Virtual Classroom Connect option.

StayAhead Training offer a range of UNIX courses covering generic UNIX as well as system specific administration courses. UNIX is the Open System Operating System choice for many organisations. StayAhead offer both general UNIX courses plus courses on a variety of UNIX flavours. Our general UNIX courses are based on UNIX SVR4, with specific UNIX courses covering Solaris, Red Hat Linux, AIX, HP-UX and LINUX (LPI) & Security schedules.

On the fundamental UNIX courses each delegate has a dedicate workstation with access to a UNIX server.

With a wealth of UNIX experience, StayAhead's UNIX training team have the skills and experience to modify or tailor any of our UNIX, AIX, Solaris, HP-UX or LINUX courses for delivery on your premises. If required, StayAhead can provide the necessary UNIX, AIX, HP-UX, Linux or Solaris hardware and software for training taking place on your premises.

As many UNIX users move from the more traditional UNIX systems to a Red Hat Linux platform StayAhead have developed a FastTrack courses FastTrack Red Hat 7 System Administrator allowing experienced UNIX System Administrators to move their UNIX skills quickly and efficiently to Red Hat Linux .

StayAhead's UNIX foundation courses cover topics that include the UNIX file structure, UNIX commands and the UNIX vi editor. The UNIX Shell Programming (Unix scripting) courses cover the UNIX Bourne, UNIX Korn and the UNIX Posix Shells, plus additional UNIX tools including awk, SED and make. Specific courses are available for users of some of the more common UNIX variants: AIX, Solaris, LINUX (LPI) & Security and HP-UX.
