Duration: 2 days

Red Hat Networking Course Overview

This highly practical instructor led Red Hat Networking course introduces the delegate to the main concepts of Red Hat Linux (RHEL) networking and TCP/IP. It describes the structure of networks, hardware, topologies, TCP/IP Protocol suite, IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, network applications and protocols, network, host and port scanning as well as packet capture techniques using Tcpdump and Wireshark.

The delegate will learn Linux commands to view and configure network cards on a Red Hat Linux (RHEL) system, IPv4 and IPv6 addresses as well as subnetting and analysis of network packets for key applications using Tcpdump and Wireshark.

Exercises and examples are used throughout the course to give practical hands-on experience with the techniques covered.

Course Objectives

To provide the skills necessary for the delegate to design, build, test and subnet TCP/IP Networks. The delegate will also learn how to capture packets and trace and rectify faults on the network.

Who will the Course Benefit?

Users and Administrators of Red Hat Linux (RHEL) systems who need to design, implement, troubleshoot and oversee TCP/IP networks. This Red Hat Networking course is also suitable for delegates who need an understanding of TCP/IP and are required to maintain a network.

Course Notes

This course features and demonstrates Linux networking commands on Red Hat Linux as well as graphical packet capture and analysis.
